Automatic greeting on the innovaphone PBX

Many companies have a standardised greeting on the telephone in order to send out a uniform picture. The innovaphone PBX is able to take care of this task for you and play an automatic greeting to every incoming call. Every employee is able to record the greeting him/herself on the phone (e.g. “Hello and welcome to XY Co. Ltd. My name is Joe Bloggs, how can I help?”).

To record the greeting text or to deactivate the automatic greeting, simply call the auto-greeting number which was set up during installation from your innovaphone IP phone. This is possible with all innovaphone IP telephones once an XML has been installed and this function has been set up. Read this Wiki article to find out more details.

Making high quality audio data – Audio how to

There is a wide array of possibilities for very diverse audio scenarios with the innovaphone PBX. Audio files can be used for example for waiting queues, individualized music on hold or IVR (Interactive Voice Responses) etc.
However the quality of the audio files often proves to be not so good. Badly produced music-on-hold files or IVRs with almost indecipherable messages are often implemented thus the opportunity of creating real added value for customers through interconnecting audio files in to the innovpahone PBX, is often missed.

However not everyone can or wants to pay for professional studio recordings with professional announcers and high-tech equipment. Basically there is no reason why you shouldn’t produce these audio files yourself – as long as you know which factors need to be observed. It would be a shame if you couldn’t make the most of all the excellent foundations of the innovaphone PBX.

innovaphone at CeBIT 2010 in Hanover

innovaphone AG presents a new generation of VoIP telephone systems at this year’s CeBIT from March 2-6 2010 in Hannover. The innovaphone PBX Version 8 brings even more flexibility, a wide array of additional features for users and administrators and diverse possibilities for use. The main innovations include mobile telephone integration in the telephone system, multi-tenant capability for Hosted PBX solutions and extended OCS integration through dual forking. Moreover, save lots of electricity through virtualisation. All this is possible with the innovaphone PBX V8, recently launched. innovaphone Operator now also in Dutch

innovaphone's PBX Operator is a computer-based operator desk for the innovaphone PBX. The innovaphone Operator can access the PBX's queue and forward calls at will. Switching is possible both with and without consultation. The innovaphone Operator is currently available in the languages German, English, Italian and now also in Dutch (further languages on request). End of Life: Goodbye V6

All good things must come to an end: on January 31 2011 we will say goodbye to the innovaphone PBX Firmware V6. At the same time we will also finish supporting Version 6. One exception to this will be the IP21 which runs under V6 – support will continue for those customers using the AUX or door interface; at least until there is an adequate replacement in the shape of a follow-on product with AUX or door interface.

CeBIT March 2-6 2010 in Hanover

The world’s largest ITC industry exhibition fair is once again just around the corner. CeBIT 2010 will open its doors in Hanover from March 2-6 2010. The industry will meet to view all the innovations and developments and innovaphone will of course be participating again this year. We will be presenting the long awaited innovaphone PBX Version 8 with its multitude of fascinating highlights.

52. Business congress of DFN association on March 2 and 3 2010 in Berlin

On Tuesday March 2 2010 (begin 10.00) and on Wednesday March 3 2010 (ends 14.30) the 52nd DFN congress (German National Research and Education Network Association) will take place in the evangelischen Johannesstift in Berlin. Current questions arising from daily use of DFN services will be discussed. Participants have the possibility to exchange information and experiences in operating system and service specialised working groups and forums, and to make new contacts at the evening event. innovaphone AG is also participating and will have a stand there to present its VoIP solution.

ComConsult Unified Communications and Collaborations Forum 2010 from November 8–11 2010 in Königswinter, near Bonn

From November 8 until 11 2010 the Comconsult Unified Communications und Collaborations Forum 2010 will take place at the Maritim Hotel in Königswinter, near Bonn. The event will begin at 9.30am and will end on the last day at 3.30pm.
Unified Communications integrates the notion of many different communication forums. It starts with pure voice communication and ends with the collaboration in an IT sense of the word. Separating established products from this range is difficult, whether it is a traditional PBX or a portal server for project collaboration. ComConsult Unified Communications and Collaborations Forum 2010 analyses and discusses these exact questions.

Retrospect: innovaphone dialogues 2010 in Oslo and Helsinki

To mark the release of the new innovaphone PBX Version 8 we were already able to welcome a great number of guests to join our innovaphone dialogues in Germany and the Netherlands. The New Year has passed, the dialogue days continue! In January and February 2010 we introduced Version 8 to more partners from Norway and Finland and were really happy with the interest shown in our dialogue days in Helsinki and Oslo. A special thank you goes to our partner Vcom AS in Norway and Daimler Finland Oy Ab, for supporting us well in the organising the dialogue days!

Retrospect: SiteXs Housewarming Party on January 14 2010 in Vienna

On January 14 2010 SiteXs again hosted its annual technology afternoon, however with a new touch: The event took place for the first time in the new offices in Vienna. A great number of visitors had the opportunity to gain information from various manufacturers on topics such as server virtualization, storage, archiving, increasing fail safety, IT, security and VoIP telephone solutions. innovaphone took part and introduced its Unified Communication solution for medium-sized companies. Following the active information exchange during the day, the event drew to a close with an evening roulette and poker event. Furthermore, guests had the tempting chance to participate in a whiskey, rum, wine and cigar tasting.

Retrospect: Swiss IT Sourcing Forum on February 11 in Zurich

The "Swiss IT Sourcing Forum", a B2B event by the Swiss Outsourcing industry is an independent and sustained management and expert platform for all decision makers in the IT industry and outsourcing services. This congress took place on February 11 2010 in the Hallenstadion Zurich to analyse current trends and successful concepts using professional seminars, Best Practice Cases and roundtables. GOLF ENGADIN St. Moritz AG uses innovaphone IP Centrex solution

Sindelfingen, December 2009 – Three golf clubs in the Swiss alpine valley of Engadin joined forces at the beginning of 2008 to form the ENGADINE GOLF CLUB. Subsequently the entire telephone infrastructure was tested. The tyre dealer has 38 branches across Switzerland and all 340 employees are now using IP telephones from the Sindelfingen based IP telephony specialists, innovaphone.
