Name the fish | #namethefish – Join in and give our goldfish a name!

The innovaphone goldfish has been part and parcel of innovaphone for many years. We think it is high tide to give him a name. Join in the #namethefish and suggest a name here! Our jury will evaluate and choose the best suggestions at the end of April, will present the winning few with one of our well-loved big innovaphone goldfishes. From May we will make the final decision as to how our goldfish will be named.

Join in the discussions on our facebook and twitter pages under the hashtag #namethefish.

CeBIT Retrospect

We had lots of visitors to our stand at this year’s CeBIT. All our news from the world of professional corporate communications - especially the topics WebRTC, All IP, Anywhere Workplace, Cloud and Security were in our focus this year. We had a fabulous and successful week in Hanover with many interesting discussions. A heartfelt thank you goes to our visitors and we hope they enjoy looking at these photos that we brought home with us.

All that is left to say is, see you next year at CeBIT 2017! We’ll be back.

Conferencing from V12r1 also with video

Get visual with innovaphone Version 12r1 conference calls. Conferencing is now possible via video telephony.

Video Conference features speaker recognition: if a conference is set up with several video telephony participants, the conference participant who is talking is shown on the screen. If you are speaking, you will see your own video image on the screen. Conference participants, who are connected without video are depicted with a blank placeholder on the screen. The innovaphone PBX saves computing power by only transmitting one video image, thus it requires no additional hardware resources.

innovaphone in practice: Warema

Warema opts for a modern IP solution with integrated innovaphone redundancy concept

Warema is the leading SunLight Manager and has been developing, producing and marketing bespoke sunshade products and technology solutions for over 60 years. The company is now in the second generation. In 2014, the global company generated revenue of 404 million euros with some 3,500 employees.

In addition to the high maintenance costs for the existing PBX, other considerations were taken into account concerning its replacement with a modern IP PBX: a lot of reasons spoke in favour of a modern IP solution with an integrated location concept especially because of the many company sites spread around the world - Warema has 30 production sites and sales offices around the world. In addition to the financial benefits, the focus was on modernising communications with the help of applications such as Presence, Office integration and soft phones.

The biggest technical challenge that arose during the communications infrastructure changeover at Warema, lay in the specification that telephone availability had to be fully guaranteed at all times during the changeover phase. Timely demands were also quite strict.

Since the installation of the new infrastructure solution, Warema utilizes almost the entire scope of the innovaphone unified communications solution myPBX. Thomas Barthold, head of IT at Warema, explains: “We have replaced our old CTI solution with the innovaphone UC client, which covers almost all of the functions of the old solution. The numerous new, innovative and intuitive highlights are really convincing.”
