Get started with myPBX for iOS mobile
iPhone owners and innovaphone PBX subscribers now benefit from the innovaphone myPBX for iOS app! The app means iOS devices can easily be connected to the innovaphone PBX. Download the app from the App Store (the app is installed automatically), enter your login details (you get this from your technician) and you are ready to use the app with all features.
The app offers you:
One Number concept with myPBX for iOS
The user can always be reached under the same number both in the office on the desk phone and on the road via an iPhone. The user can decide individually whether his iPhone should ring at the same time as the desk phone or after a delay. Outbound calls also use the “one number” concept. The same number is always used for calls.
Access to all central and local contacts
The app allows users of myPBX for iOS to make calls not only with contacts stored locally but also to access contacts stored in the innovaphone PBX’s central phone directory.
GSM or WLAN?
For each call it is possible to select whether the smartphone and GSM or myPBX and WLAN should be used to make the call. If you don’t want to have to decide for each call, you can specify your preferred settings in the myPBX for iOS app.
Favourites and Presence - for effective collaboration
The favourite list is also available on your mobile device even with the innovaphone app for iPhones and iPads. The Presence information allows the user to see directly whether the person he’d like to speak with is available. Setting Presence while on the road is also possible with the myPBX for iOS app and brings even more transparency to teams.
As secure as an innovaphone desk phone
There is no need for compromises regarding security with myPBX for iOS. The app has the same full range of functionalities as the innovaphone desk phones. Security is guaranteed through Secure RTP, H.323 und DTLS encryption.
You don’t want to hold the phone to your ear?
Of course, the myPBX for iOS app supports both wired and Bluetooth headsets. Speakerphone mode is also included.
G.729 licenses will cease from the first Service Release in 2017
The patents for G. 729 expire as of January 2017. With the first service release in 2017, innovaphone will be implementing this standard on all devices. As a result, G.729 licenses will no longer be required once the first Service release in 2017 has been implemented. However, purchase of the G.729 license is imperative if you would like to use G.729 this year.
