Remote Control App: Remote Access for IT Support & Digital Collaboration

In this day and age, it is simply not feasible that support technicians or IT admins can always be directly on site when issues arise. Many businesses have employees spread across different locations, and even all over the world.

The new Remote Control App is a great tool to remotely access other devices. Its major advantage is the seamless integration into myApps so that users do not have to rely on external solutions. The app is secure and provides high-quality data transfer in real-time, without any delay.

By the way: Remote support is by far not the only use for the Remote Control App. The app can also be used as a digital collaboration tool. Work on one document together with your colleagues – hand over the control of your mouse and keyboard, and flexibly switch the control direction.

myApps Plugin: Easy Solution for Phone Calls in Virtual Environments – Now Also for Linux

Do you have employees who work on terminal server environments such as Citrix? Do you have employees who remotely access their computers at the office via remote desktop connection? This saves company resources while it offers employees much-wanted flexibility.

What if employees often need to make calls via the company network while working remotely? In this case, virtual environments are limited. In order to make and receive phone calls, you need to switch from the terminal server or remote connection to your local computer. This can become tedious.

The Solution: The myApps Plugin for Virtual Desktops – with V14r2 also available for Linux environments!

Use this plugin to initiate and answer audio calls via softphone in a virtual environment. The plugin is quickly rolled out in your business. It starts automatically once the virtual environment is opened.

Call Recording for Critical Infrastructures & Compliant with MiFID

Call recording has been an important component of our portfolio ever since the release of V13. This feature is indispensable for certain areas such as emergency call centers or the financial sector, where contractually binding calls require call recording.

With the new version 14r2, innovaphone Recording has been updated to adhere to enhanced data protection requirements, for example in the financial sector:

NEW: Call Recording adhering to MiFID & for critical infrastructures

• Recorded data encrypted within the database
• Proof of immutability (digital signature / watermark)
• 4-eyed principle when playing recordings back
• Restricted access & access records
• Commentary function for recordings (via Connect App interface)

IMPORTANT NOTICE: services.innovaphone.com will be Switched Off December 31^st, 2024!

In our February newsletter, we informed you about the migration of our push server to push.innovaphone.com. This transition is relevant for all PBX push objects with a connection to services.innovaphone.com.

Reminder: On Monday, March 4^th, 2024, we switched the DNS record to our new push service located at push.innovaphone.com.

In order to give you enough time for the migration process, the DNS entry “services.innovaphone.com” will continue to be operated until December 31^st, 2024. Please ensure to complete the migration until this date. Otherwise, push will no longer work for your installation.
