Connector for M365: Future-Proof Integration for Exchange Online

If you use Microsoft 365 with Exchange online, you should keep in mind October 2026. On October 1^st, 2026, Microsoft will discontinue the EWS protocol used to date. This means following: The Calendar App will no longer work for the calendar presence synchronization between Microsoft 365 and innovaphone myApps.

The solution: Our Connector for M365. It is based on the modern Microsoft Graph API. Your calendar integration will continue to work smoothly in the future, and it even comes with some useful extras:

• Synchronized presence between Microsoft Teams and innovaphone myApps
• Call forwarding settings apply automatically
• Synchronization of the line state
• More convenience (from version 16r1): Contact search and phone number resolution directly in the connector (applies to apps, does not apply to IP phones and the innovaphone PBX)

This ensures that callers are forwarded according to the system settings while you are in a phone call or online meeting.

Conclusion: All Exchange Online users wanting to synchronize their calendar entries with myApps, the Connector for M365 will be an indispensable add-on from October 2026 on. If you enjoy seamless and futue-proof communication, you can already benefit from the connector today.
