innovaphone Community - FAQ

What exactly is the innovaphone Community?

With our innovaphone Community, we want to give partners and end customers the opportunity to become familiar with myApps and to test the different functions of the platform with the various apps. innovaphone Community is cloud-based and runs on innovaphone myApps Cloud. It is operated by innovaphone and made available to partners and end customers free of charge (please note that fees may apply with mobile connections).  

We further use the innovaphone Community for online events hosted by innovaphone where we share latest information and interesting content with you.

  • Check the Agenda app regularly to view the status of all dates for the online events
  • Live presentations by innovaphone are broadcast via our Live Stream app
  • The integrations show you how to integrate 3rd party apps into the myApps interface. These apps are available for you to test but they are not included within the innovaphone AG product portfolio

Who is allowed to use the innovaphone Community?

Everybody who wants to see what myApps is all about! Simply set up a user account for the innovaphone Community and take a look around straight away.

How can I set up a user account for the innovaphone Community?

  • Enter following link into your browser: community.innovaphone.com
  • Click on the button "No account yet?" and complete the entry fields
  • Once you have confirmed the terms of use, you will receive an e-mail. Check your inbox and confirm your registration by clicking onto the link provided in the e-mail we sent you. You will only be registered as a user once you click on this link.

We reserve the right to remove users or user groups should any form of misconduct occur.

How can I delete my user account from the innovaphone Community?

  • Click on the hamburger menu in the top right corner and select the tab "Edit profile"
  • Scroll down and click on the button "Delete account". All your data on the innovaphone Community will be deleted

To what extent can I use the innovaphone Community?

The innovaphone Community does not have access to PSTN and external calls are not possible. Users can only make and accept calls within the innovaphone Community and with other registered users. Please note that downtime due to maintenance may occur. However, we strive at keeping the service up and running as smoothly as possible.

Does the innovaphone Community offer all available functions of the innovaphone PBX?

Not all functions of the innovaphone PBX are available with innovaphone Community. Instead, we have compiled a selection of functions and apps for you to test. The innovaphone PBX and myApps offer a variety of different apps, for example apps for administrators.

Please get in touch with your innovaphone Partner Manager for further assistance.

What function should I take a closer look at?

Use myApps to call another user. You can quickly set up a Softphone and use it to call someone else. Depending on the settings & equipment of the person you will be calling, you can also opt for a video call.

How do I set up my own softphone?

  • When you are on your home screen of the innovaphone Community, click on the hamburger button at the top right corner. Now, select the tab "Edit profile"
  • A new window will pop open. On the right-hand side, you have five different tabs. Click on the tab "My phones"
  • Select "+Softphone" to set up a new softphone for yourself
  • Enter the name you would like to use for your phone and click on "Next" and "Finish" to create your new Softphone
  • Your Softphone will now be displayed in form of an icon on your home screen and is ready to use

Whom can I call?

You can call any user registered on the innovaphone Community. The Users app lists all contacts and you can call anyone listed here. Make sure that the user is currently available (presence status indicated in green). Please note that only internal calls within the community are possible.

Can users from different countries register?

innovaphone Community is an international platform. No matter where you are located geographically, you can register. You further have the possibility to switch the display language of myApps by clicking on the hamburger menu on your home screen.

Is it possible to send chat messages with myApps?

The Chat app is free for you to use. Within the innovaphone Community, you can even try out the Premium Chat app. With this premium version, the chat record is persistent, you can create chat groups and it is possible to send small data files.

Do I need to install a client?

No installation is needed - innovaphone myApps Cloud is a browser-based solution. You can use it on any device you please, whether smartphone, laptop, tablet or your desktop computer.

Can I add contacts to my home screen?

Within the Users app, you can click on the little house symbol next to a contact you would like to add to your home screen. You can move the icons of your contacts and apps on the home screen and arrange them as you please. By clicking on an icon and by dragging it down, you can also create new groups. You further have the possibility to rename groups by clicking on the indicated name.

Why do some contacts have a picture of themselves while others are displayed without a picture?

Users are free to upload a picture of themselves.

  • Click on the hamburger menu at the top right corner and select the option "Edit profile".
  • In the tab "Account", you can now upload an image of yourself or any avatar via drag & drop

Where can I find more information on myApps and innovaphone products?

Can I also use a regular desk phone with the innovaphone Community?

Yes, you can use a desk phone. Especially innovaphone IP phones can easily be registered at the system by entering a registration code.
