The Connect App is your social intranet for efficient and structured communication within your business. It provides one central location where all information, collaboration and communication are bundled. Within project teams, across departments and even beyond corporate boundaries - Connect ensures that the right people receive the right information. Gone are the days of information overflow, with Connect, you only get relevant updates.

Your Central Communication Platform

Receive all posts in your personal feed which are relevant to you:

  • you are directly mentioned in a post
  • someone comments or likes a post that you have created
  • there are news in a channel or tag that you follow

You can mark these posts as "noted" (indicated with the star symbol) or as "checked". This allows you to focus on important messages.

Systematically check your posts and notifications: The number at the icon of the Connect App indicates your badge count of unread posts waiting for you in your personal feed.

Keep an eye on important topics: Use Tags when writing a post to indicate suitable and relevant topics. Tags function as a filter and orientation, especially with recurring topics. Follow a tag to automatically receive relevant posts in your personal feed.

Structure your communication with Channels - the virtual rooms for departments, projects or topics. You can create new channels by combining suitable tags with each other. Follow a channel, or pin it to your home area to always receive information on topics of interest.

Edit your Home area with your personal list of channels and tags to stay updated. The dot next to the pinned channel or tag indicates if there are news. By clicking on the pinned tag / channel, you will be able to check all posts and discussions. Create your central workspace that perfectly suits your everyday work needs.

Find exactly what you are looking for. You can either enter single words or entire sentences when searching for content. You can narrow down the results by looking for posts from a specific user, or by posts before a specific date. You can also specifically search for posts with attachments, or messages you had previously saved.

Interactive Communication & High Level of Participation

Send a post to share ideas, news, questions with your team, department or the entire company. Add emojis and use formatting options to make the information within your post understandable and easy-to-read.

Add files and documents to your posts and replies. This is a great way to quickly share information in files with others, providing easy access to required documents.

You can edit your own posts and responses anytime in retrospect. This comes in handy if you forgot to add information, made a mistake, or would like to improve your text - others appreciate texts with easily accessible information.

Confirm that you took note of posts and responses by sending a "Like". This signals to others that you have paid attention. You, in return quickly get a form of feedback that others acknowledged your own posts. Likes are also a great way for simple surveys.

Use the "Reply" button directly below a post to quickly participate in conversations. This function fosters communication and collaboration by enabling fast response mechanisms.

Integrated AI quickly translates texts for you. You can either have select posts translated, or select the function in the user settings to have everything translated automatically into the default language. Collaboration turns into a breeze, across international borders and languages.

Efficient Organization - Manage the Chaos

Stay organized and mark read and processed posts within your feed as "Checked". You can still access these posts later, by clicking on the tab "Checked". Here, you will see all completed posts in chronological order. If you want to move such a post back to your feed, simply click on the little checkmark at the respective post.

You can bookmark posts within your feed that are of high relevance to you. At the bottom of a post, you can click on the "Star" symbol to mark the post as noted. These marked posts will appear in the tab "Noted", for your convenience. You can deactivate the star anytime, deleting this marked post.

Always stay informed: Activate the bell symbol below the date & time of the post to automatically receive notifications in your feed if there are new comments or changes. You can deactivate the bell if you no longer wish to receive notifications.

Copy the link to a post or discussion, and share this link with others. This allows colleagues to quickly get involved and informed, saving a lot of time.

Targeted Communication – Purposeful & Discreet

Address people directly by tagging them with @. Your post will automatically appear in the personal feed of the tagged person. This is a reliable method of ensuring that important content reaches the right person.

You have the option to send a message as private message - either to one single user or to several users. The private message can only be read by the selected recipient. This is ideal for confidential information and for private inquiries where you do not want to address everybody. 

Zones are restricted areas within Connect. These private areas are only accessible to authorized user groups that have previously been defined, allowing you to determine who can view and post in a specific zone. Ideal for confidential information and topics only intended for specific departments!

The Chat function is fully integrated into the Connect App for you to communicate directly with individual users or with groups. Quickly coordinate your activities with colleagues, without having to switch tools!

Integrated AI - Your Smart Helper

Formulate texts for posts or replies with the help of the myApps Assistant. Intelligent suggestions and automatic text generation save valuable time.

Revise and optimize your own texts with the myApps Assistant. The assistant improves your wording and reduces overly complicated matters. Benefit from the integrated AI within Connect to compose clearer, more precise messages.

The myApps Assistant automatically checks your spelling in your posts for error-free communication. For professional standards and reduced post-processing. 

Summarize long and complex discussions. Focus on the important information and save time when reading and trying to filter essential content.

Digitally Connected with Your Team

Keep track of all employees in your organization - with a convenient user list that displays all users. Employees can also be grouped together, for example by department or team. You can quickly find the right contact person and communicate with them directly.

The integrated presence status lets you see at a glance who is currently available - and you can get in touch with someone via the user profile, either via call or chat.

Adjust Connect to meet your requirements. You can choose whether you would like to receive e-mail or app notifications. If required, you can set your profile to "inactive", activate automated translations and set the font size.

Access Connect anywhere and anytime - whether you are working at the office, remotely from home or while you are on the go. You can access Connect from any device such as your desktop computer, smartphone or tablet.

How can I test the Connect App?

The first 200 discussions per installation are free of charge. You further have the option to test the Connect App within our innovaphone Community, also free of charge. Should you be new to our Community, please visit our dedicated website on getting started with the innovaphone Community.

The first 200 discussions per installation are free of charge - what happens if these discussions are all used up?

All users can keep on reading the posts within the Connect App ("read only"). Users with a valid license have the option to submit posts and to comment.

How much memory space is required?

Memory usage of the Connect App highly depends on the user behavior. Video files and high-resolution images always require more memory space than plain text. We would recommend you to monitor the size of your message database to get a feeling for its growth.

Our experience has shown that 100 MB per user / year is a good approximation. This estimated value would include occasional attachments, some PPTs, images, screenshots and very rarely a video.

Are private Connect posts or replies possible?

Yes, it is possible to send private posts. Before posting your comment, you can tag one or more users and click on the icon indicating a private post Icon der Connect App für Privatnachrichten. Your comment is now directed only at the person or people you previously tagged.

How is the app licensed?

Licensing of the Connect App is user-based. One license required per user who wants to use the Connect App.

Do I need port licenses if I only want to use the Connect App?

The Connect App solely requires a user license. Additional licenses such as the port license are not required.

How can I translate posts?

Once Translations is installed, individual posts within Connect can be translated via the translate button below each post. You can further activate the option to automatically tanslate every post within Connect (open the Connect App -> go to the hamburger menu at the top right corner within the Connect App - > click on "User settings" -> check the box "translate automatically")

How can I use AI in Connect?

Our myApps Assistant enables you to integrate AI directly into Connect. You can select an LLM of your choice - whether in house or hosted via the cloud. Once you have set up the myApps Assistant, you can benefit from AI in Connect.
