Beta 6 for V16 is available now! Don’t miss the opportunity to test the latest functions exclusively before everyone else. Some highlights awaiting you are the Conference Scaler for scalable conference resources, the Connector for WhatsApp, the new document storage feature in the Connect App and incremental LDAP replication for more efficient processes in large installations.
What to Expect with Beta 6:
- App IP:
App IP brings full PBX functionality to the innovaphone App Platform as an app service. Central communication functions are provided flexibly as an application and can be seamlessly integrated into modern IT environments. The solution runs on the Docker Container App Platform, for example, and combines the App Platform and PBX in a single system (container). This creates a compact and comprehensive solution that enables easy deployment, high scalability, and maximum flexibility for operating modern communication solutions.
- App Platform Update – Security and Stability Improvements:

- Kernel updated to version 6.12.74 (stability/security)
- OpenSSL updated to version 3.6.1 (security)
- Buildroot updated to version 2025.11 (new package versions)
- PostgreSQL query planner optimized for SSDs/NVMEs
- Added kernel tool “perf” (useful for app developers)
- Conference Scaler:
The Conference Scaler is an app service that allows multiple conference interfaces to be operated in a cluster, enabling horizontal scaling of the infrastructure. The conference interface cluster can be flexibly reduced and expanded in size, and can be used in parallel by many small and large conferences without the need for explicit assignment of individual conference interfaces to specific conference objects. Interconnection in the cluster generates technical overhead, so that a conference interface in the cluster supports approximately 66% of the participants in standalone operation.
- Connector for WhatsApp:
The innovaphone Connector for WhatsApp enables the use of the WhatsApp Business API in the innovaphone Connect App. Once the connector has been set up, incoming messages sent to the company’s WhatsApp numbers are automatically displayed in the desired channel within the Connect App, where the messages can be answered directly. The company can quickly be contacted by customers, offers fast services and creates a modern communication experience. With multiple WhatsApp numbers, inquiries on various topics are also posted within the appropriate channels and the responsible employees are immediately informed.
- Documents:
Documents enables easy file sharing directly in Connect. Files can be uploaded using a button or drag-and-drop, and shared with other myApps users via a Connect message. Uploaded files can be edited by users and are updated automatically. Documents thus supports structured and transparent collaboration.
- Incremental LDAP Replication:

- Write operations possible on all replication participants
- MQTT Broker:
The innovaphone MQTT broker opens up a new area of communication, namely the world of IoT. With this, innovaphone provides a service that enables the seamless integration of MQTT-enabled devices into the innovaphone environment. The broker handles message processing between MQTT clients and offers a clear management interface. Features such as access list control and the connection of third-party brokers are supported. The client library can be used to develop apps with the MQTT protocol.
- Projects:
The Projects App is now more organized and more secure: Sections can now be deleted and easily restored via a restore menu, if needed. After 100 days, deleted items are automatically and permanently removed. Only admins can delete areas, while other items can still be deleted by all users. Users can only see their own deleted items, while admins can see all relevant items. Also available: An onboarding tour that quickly explains the Projects App to new users. The onboarding tour is a great way to get started with Projects.
- Working:
The latest version of the Working App links leave requests directly to the Connect App. When a request is submitted, a private Connect discussion is automatically created, involving the applicant, department manager, and HR. The messages remain visible only to these participants. Status changes such as “Approved” or “Rejected” as well as queries and approvals appear directly as responses in the same thread, and everything is clearly documented. The groups involved (e.g., HR) can be flexibly defined on the setup page and expanded at any time.

Dedicated Certificates for Services Replace innovaphone Wildcard Certificate

The previously used innovaphone wildcard certificate is no longer required and has been removed from the software. Dedicated certifiactes are now used for each service instead. This increases security and complies with current best practices in encryption and certificate management.
innovaphone PBX: Support for Version 16 Licenses in Compatibility Mode

Licenses of version 16 can be used even before the actual upgrade to version 16. This simplifies the preparation of updates and enables a gradual transition without interrupting ongoing operations.
WAN Fallback from Slave to Master for Name-Based Calls

For calls initiated via user name or contact name, a fallback from Slave to Master is automatically triggered in the event of WAN overload. This ensures connection stability also in distributed environments, even when WAN bandwidth reaches its limits.

During failover, the number of simultaneous SIP registrations is limited. This prevents load peaks affecting network and systems, and ensures that large installations restart in a more stable and controllable manner.

What to Expect with Beta 5:
- Conference Transcriptions:
The solution records a conference call, transcribes what is said and organizes the content to conveniently structure results and tasks in meeting minutes. All functions are directly accessible via the participant list of the Softphone App – from starting the transcription to creating the finished meeting post, which can be edited and posted directly in the Connect App. (You can freely choose which AI models to use.)
- innovaphone IP270 - The myApps Phone:
The large 7-inch touch display combines telephony functions and apps directly on one device. Operating the phone is intuitive and user-friendly, without requiring an extra computer. The IP270 is ideal for everyone who still wants to use a conventional telephone, but with all functions of the myApps platform.
Ideal for Versatile Business Settings:
- Video calls
- Video conferences & virtual meetings
- Switchboard
- All apps are accessible on the display
Selected partners can now test the myApps phone IP270 at a 16r1 PBX.
- Reconnect Calls for Seamless Handover & Roaming:
Phone calls remain connected without interruption when network conditions change. Calls remain active without requiring any intervention - when switching within the same network as well as switching between Wi-Fi, 5G or Ethernet, during PBX reboots or during brief service outage, for example while driving. This is of great advantage for mobile employees and commuters.

Screen Reader Support for Accessible Telephony:
The Softphone 5 provides comprehensive screen reader support for our phone apps (Phone App, Softphone App, RCC App). The objective is to enable users with visual impairments to access our telephony solutions without restrictions - with clear screen reader output and full keyboard operability.
- New Functions in the Switchboard App:
- E-mail notification for callback requests during an active call: A callback request via e-mail can now be created during an active call. The e-mail contains pre-stored information on the call such as name, phone number and e-mail address of the caller (if available).
- Improved search function with the Phone App / Softphone App: The search function has been optimized, and now corresponds to the search function of the Phone App & Softphone App.
- More detailed display of search functions and BLF entries: Search results are now displayed with more detailed information. Details in the BLF entry have been expanded for you to find relevant information faster.
