New White Paper: How Can Companies Successfully Migrate from ISDN to All IP?

Sindelfingen, June 25th, 2018 – It is a similar situation to the nationwide changeover from analogue lines to ISDN lines in the 1990s, now another era is now coming to an end: Throughout Europe, countries are switching over to Internet Protocol (IP). Since the company was founded in 1997, the IP specialist innovaphone has uncompromisingly built its entire product portfolio on "pure IP". In its most recent white paper, the manufacturer of universal work and communication environments explains what companies should look for when switching technologies.

Migration to IP is fully underway in European countries. While some smaller countries such as Macedonia, Croatia and Slovakia have already completed the changeover, British Telecom (BT) expects the switch in Great Britain to take place at the latest by 2025.

Just like everywhere else, switching to All IP in Germany also involves investments and considerable effort, but ultimately there will be no alternative, as ISDN connections will disappear in the long term. Switching technology in companies particularly requires a deep investigation into the topic and a clear strategy in order to be able to avoid any major problems when switching technologies. The new White Paper by innovaphone AG, whose entire product portfolio has been based on "IP" right from day one, addresses the following practical topics when switching technologies:

  • Choosing the SIP provider and dimensioning the connection
  • Smooth migration or new PBX?
  • When is it advisable to invest in a new PBX and what do we have to take into consideration?
  • What does a new PBX need to manage? Pure telephony? Unified Communications system? App platform?
  • When security-relevant aspects have to be considered during the changeover?

In another chapter, the innovaphone White Paper highlights the new possibilities and applications in corporate communications that come with a modern All IP solution.
